The Sun's Big Wake-Up!

The big sun is sleeping. Zzzzzzz. So very sleepy. The sun is sleeping now. It is dark outside. All is dark. The sky is dark blue. No bright light. A little bird is here. Its name is Chirp. Chirp is very little. Chirp has tiny wings. Chirp looks all around. Chirp sees the dark sky. Oh no! No bright sun. Chirp wants the sun. Chirp wants warm light. Little Chirp wants the sun to wake up. The big sun is still sleeping. Chirp hops and hops. Hop, hop, hop. Chirp feels a little cool. Where is the warm sun? Chirp sings a song. A little soft song. Peep, peep, peep. A very soft song. The sun does not move. Still sleeping. Zzzzzzz. So sound asleep. The big sun is still sleeping. Little Chirp wants the sun to wake up. Chirp sings again. A little louder now. Peep, peep, PEEP! Chirp sings a happy song. The sun wiggles a bit. A little wiggle. The sun moves slowly. Not awake yet. The big sun is still sleepy. Still very, very sleepy. Little Chirp wants the sun to wake up. Chirp tries again. Chirp flies very close. Chirp pecks gently. Tap, tap, tap. On the big sun. Tap, tap, tap. A soft, soft tap. The sun opens one eye. A tiny, sleepy eye. The sun looks all around. The sun opens its other eye. Both eyes are open. The sun stretches big. Ooooooh, a big, big stretch! The sun wakes up. Yes! The sun is awake now! Chirp is happy now. Very, very happy. The sun shines so bright. So very bright. The sky gets blue. A pretty blue sky. Warm yellow light. The sun is up. Hooray! The sun says, 'Hello!' Chirp says, 'Hello!' The sun feels warm. So very, very warm. Look! The sun is shining. So bright and warm. The big sun is awake. Thank you, little Chirp. For waking the sun. Everyone is happy. It is a sunny day! What a good day. Yes! A very, very good day. The sun is up high. Up, up, up. It gives warm light. It is a happy sun. Chirp flies and plays. In the warm sun. Peep, peep, peep. So happy today. The sun shines down. Down, down, down. A bright, yellow sun.
