The story
Lily is outside today. She loves to play. The sun feels warm. Lily sees a green leaf. What is on the leaf? Look very closely. It is a little bug! It is a red ladybird! It has two black spots. Can you see the spots? Let's count them now. One spot. Two spots. Yes! Two black spots! This little ladybird is happy. It wiggles its little legs. It starts to fly. Zoom, zoom, zoom! It flies to a tall flower. Bye bye, little friend! Can you wave bye bye? Wave your little hand! Lily walks a little more. She sees another big leaf. What is on this new leaf? Look! A little ladybird! This one is red too. It has black spots, look! Let's count them all. One, two, three, four spots! Wow! Four black spots! This ladybird walks slowly. Creep, creep, creep! It walks on the green leaf. It sees another leaf. Creep, creep, creep! Then it flies away. Zoom, zoom, zoom! Can you wiggle your fingers? Like the ladybird walks? Wiggle them up high! Lily smiles so big now. She looks for more bugs. Look! A little ladybird! This ladybird is also red. It has black spots, too. Can we count these spots? One, two, three, four, five, six spots! Amazing! Six black spots! This ladybird is very happy. It moves its tiny legs. Creep, creep, creep! It crawls on a flower stem. It wants to see the sky. Then it flies up high. Zoom, zoom, zoom! Can you clap your hands? Clap for the ladybird! Yay for ladybirds! Lily finds one more. She sees a small white flower. What is on the flower? Look! A little ladybird! It is red and round. It has black spots, too. Let's count these new spots. One, two, three spots! Three black spots! This ladybird is cute. It rests on the flower. Then it opens its wings. Zoom, zoom, zoom! It flies away fast. Can you make a flying sound? Make a zoom sound! Lily sits on the grass. She sees all the ladybirds. Some have two black spots. Some have four black spots. Some have six black spots. Some have three black spots. They all have different spots! Every ladybird is special. Lily feels very happy. She loves her new friends. The sun goes down low. The sky is turning pink. Time to say bye bye. Bye bye, little ladybirds! See you another day! Lily waves goodbye. What a super fun day! The ladybirds sleep now. Good night, little bugs.
